“Yesterday Won’t Write Tomorrow” came from a season of fear, loss, regret, and surrender. For years, I allowed things I had witnessed in the past to shape the way I approached love and the future. I thought fear was protecting me. Instead, I began to realize how much it was controlling me. This song is my prayer to God. I can’t rewrite yesterday. I can’t control another person’s heart. And I don’t know exactly what tomorrow holds. But I can ask God to heal what I’ve carried with me, teach me to stand with courage, and prepare me to become the man I need to be for the family I hope to build one day. I won’t let yesterday write tomorrow for me. God, take my fear. Heal what is broken. Teach me to love with courage. Teach me to stand. And rebuild me. “You are my cornerstone.
