Federal Enterprises Thunderbolt 1000 SWA Activation | Alert + Ambiance | Barberton, OH | 3/24/21

Location: Barberton Municipal Courthouse System: SWSCOG Siren System Test time: Every Saturday at noon (SWA-October, 9:50 AM on SWA) Enthusiasts present: Central Ohio Refuse Today for the Ohio Annual Statewide Tornado Drill, my friend (Central Ohio Refuse) and I decided to meet up at this red Thunderbolt in Barberton to hear it go off for what we thought would be 3 minutes of alert. Unfortunately, it ended up doing only 30 seconds like it usually does for tests, but we did manage to get a nice ambiance of Wadsworth and some other nearby areas. This thing was installed in 1954 and has a 6M blower, and this is my first time hearing a 6M Thunderbolt in person. I also love the reverb as it starts up and winds down, so even though it only went for 30 seconds, it was still a pretty cool experience.
