A cleaner-looking block deserves a closer look. If fewer people are being counted on Kensington’s streets, where did they go—and what help did they receive?
In this According 2 Dee episode, I respond to a news report about improvements in Kensington and share what I see doing street outreach. We look at the report’s claim of a police street count dropping from roughly 900 to 300–400 people within a specific area, and ask about housing, treatment, shelter, and displacement.
Featuring footage and photos from Recovery Done Simple outreach, this conversation asks officials to show the outcomes behind the numbers.
People moving out of the camera’s view is not the same as people moving into housing.
