This episode is usually remembered for Mr. Moseby’s brief appearance, but Emma’s rebellion deserves way more attention.
Her behavior in this episode is an authentic portrayal of the impulsiveness, frustration, and defiance that often come with being a teenager.
Emma’s rebellious phase showed us the range of Peyton List as an actress.
So far we only saw Emma as this sweet airhead who only cares about fashion and pop culture.
But now we get to see a different side of her.
And It was written so well that it came off very natural.
It never felt out of character for Emma, it just came across as believable.
Emma is rebelling but she still cares about how she’s dressed.
It’s subtle details like this that put this episode on another level.
We also see how much Jessie truly cares about the kids.
Any other nannie would just punish Emma and fight with her until she finally straightens out.
But Jessie is looking deeper into the problem, she’s actually concerned about what’s going on with Emma.
This isn’t just a job for Jessie, she truly loves the kids as if they were her real family.
When Emma runs away it takes the episode somewhere else. Up until this point Emma was just slamming doors and being rude to everyone.
But now she’s gone.
Jessie looks everywhere but still has no idea where Emma is.
The only reason Jessie ends up finding out is because Christina calls and mentions the Tipton hotel.
Mr. Moseby’s appearance was done in a smart way, he’s still the same old Moseby we remember. Moseby even gives great advice to Jessie.
It was very reminiscent of when Moseby would give advice to London back in the day.
Jessie and Emma finally have a talk, Emma tells her side of things while Jessie is listening.
There’s no more yelling, it’s just Jessie being willing to listen and be there for Emma.
It all ends with the perfect send off. Moseby is on the phone with Cody talking about how Jessie looks just like Bailey.
Cody tells Mr. Moseby that he wants to see for himself.
this basically confirms that Cody and Bailey never reunited after they left the boat in the last episode of Suite Life On Deck.
It’s sad to know that Cody and Bailey never reunited and never got back together.
But anyways, this episode is definitely one of the top 5 greatest Jessie episodes.
Not only does it perfectly capture the feelings of being a teenager, But it also shows Jessie behaving like a mom.
Let’s remember that Jessie is only a few years older than Emma.
This makes Jessie a perfect candidate for Emma’s nanny.
Jessie knows exactly what Emma is going through because she’s gone through it herself not so long ago.
