The goal of the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is to increase a diver's buoyancy control far above the Open Water Diver level. The goal of the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy training is to expand the buoyancy control capability of the student diver with knowledge development and practical skills studies. When perfect buoyancy is reached during dives, divers begin to consume less effort and less air in the dive. So they can use the air in their tubes to make longer dives. The first dive of the PADI Specialty Diver course can be considered one of the adventure diving requirements of the Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver courses. Similarly, every adventure dive you do in the Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver Course can be considered the first dive of the relevant PADI Specialty Diver course.
