With a few tracks from the album ‚Remember the Killer‘, this is meant to honor Jerry Lee Lewis. It’s now been almost exactly four years since one of the last great rock ’n’ rollers left us—the very same man about whom I’d already read near-obituaries back in the early ’80s... The album itself is available in a limited edition of only seven copies. Some of the tracks turned out quite well, though. If you sometimes feel strongly reminded of the later Jerry Lee—that’s pure coincidence! Welcome to 3R! This is the place for new old sounds — Rock’n’Roll, Rockabilly, Rhythm & Blues, Country, Swing, Doo Wop and more, inspired by the great music of the 1940s, 1950s and early 1960s. The music presented on this channel consists of new productions created with the assistance of generative AI and music-production software. This page is primarily dedicated to showcasing songs that capture the original spirit of the era and the authentic sound of that time. No “plastic SUNO” sound, where you can tell from the very first note that the music is electronically generated, or boring computer voices. And it’s not about voices sounding “exactly like Elvis, Eddie, or Chuck” either… there are now websites where new songs with these voices—and really good music, too—are generated perfectly. And, of course, there’s always the legal side to consider… These are not historical recordings or newly discovered vintage masters. Fictional artists, record labels, catalogue numbers and vintage-style artwork are sometimes used as part of the presentation. We create these recordings with respect for the musicians, producers, songwriters and small independent record labels that gave us the music we still love today. Here you’ll find individual songs presented as forgotten 45s, as well as selections from complete 3R compilation projects. Coming soon: We are planning to make selected complete collections available as physical CD-on-Demand editions. Many of the songs here have already been tested on the dance floor, and there are DJs who care more about a packed dance floor than about letting valuable vinyl reach its crackling end. For them, it might actually be interesting to pick up a danceable “rarity” or two here...Details will follow when everything is ready. Until then — turn it up, move the furniture and keep those old sounds alive! There are no bad days in life — just days with not enough Rock’n’Roll! 3R — New old records for people who still listen...
