Mortirolo Pass: 12 km of narrow road, hairpin turns and no guardrails, up to 1852 m in the Italian Alps. No music, no commentary. Just the engine and the road. The Mortirolo is not a scenic pass. For most of the climb there is nothing to see but the forest, and the gradient never really lets go. The work is all in the hairpins — tight and steep at the same time — and in the sections where the road opens up and there is simply nothing on the downhill side.
