This time, we're taking on the spectacular Honister Pass in England's Lake District — a road famously described as Richard Hammond's favourite road in the world! Behind the wheel of my CUPRA Formentor, we experience one of the most breathtaking drives the Lake District has to offer. The route takes us through dramatic mountain scenery, winding roads and steep valleys, but the real magic begins just after passing the famous Honister Slate Mine. As the road drops away into the valley towards **Buttermere**, the landscape opens up to reveal an absolutely stunning combination of towering fells, sweeping bends and beautiful lakeside scenery. It's one of those drives where every corner delivers another incredible view.
