Rising water levels in the Bahuda River have caused floodwater to spill onto National Highway 16 near Ichchapuram, bringing traffic to a standstill. Lodaputti and Peturu villages under Ichchapuram are reportedly surrounded by floodwater, with hundreds of hectares of agricultural land submerged. Around waist-deep water has affected NH-16, forcing the local administration to suspend traffic. Hundreds of trucks and other vehicles are stranded on both sides of the highway.
