My honest opinion on the redesigned 2022 Lexus LX

However we will still get the redesigned luxury sibling of it which we’re going to analyze today - what you’re looking at is the new 2022 Lexus LX 600. I’m going to cover some of the spec and tech about the new LX and then we’re jumping into Photoshop and I’m going to let you know exactly what I think of this design in the front, side and rear. Let’s jump in! The new LX shares the same body-on-frame platform that you’ll find in the Land Cruiser and in the new 2022 Toyota Tundra pickup truck. What does this mean exactly? Well it means the new LX is a lot lighter than the previous generation and a lot stiffer as well. Compared to the outgoing model, the 2022 LX is 20% more rigid. But the weight savings is even more impressive. It loses a massive 441 pounds over the previous generation. Nuts! On top of that, it also has a lower center of gravity which helps a lot on a tall vehicle like this. It becomes more predictable and more stable both on and off the road. What about wheel sizes? As you know, wheel sizes and fitment matters a lot to a car. Even on SUVs and off-roaders. In this car, you can choose from wheel sizes starting at 18 inches all the way up to 22 inches in diameter. This is great because it allows you to either have a sportier setup with lower profile tires and larger wheels or you can go full desert mode with the stock 18” wheels and thicker more aggressive off-road tires. I’d love to see that on the new LX. As I’m sure you know with the Tundra there’s no longer a V-8 under the hood and the same goes for the LX. The standard powertrain is a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 putting out 409 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission. On the inside you have a new center stack with a dual-screen interface for the first time. At the top you’ll find a 12.3-inch screen and below this is a 7-inch screen. This is a luxury SUV but it’s also a very capable off-roader. For example you have crawl and hill assist features as standard in the new Lexus LX. Two new trim levels for 2022 is the F Sport option that will come with a limited-slip differential and now you can also choose the Ultra Luxury trim which gives you a separate pair of seats for the middle row.
