Nino Gaggi Raised His Nephew Like a Son for 30 Years — Then the Nephew Took the Stand Against Him

Nino Gaggi was the Gambino captain behind Roy DeMeo — the man who brought the most feared killer in New York into the family, took his envelope every week, and never once set foot in the Gemini Lounge. For twenty years he trusted nobody who was not blood. The person who finally told a federal jury everything was the nephew he had raised in his own house. This is the full documented story of Anthony "Nino" Gaggi, his nephew Dominick Montiglio, Roy DeMeo, and the case that put Paul Castellano in the first chair at the defense table. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Sources: Gene Mustain & Jerry Capeci, "Murder Machine" (1992); federal trial coverage, United States v.
