Slow-speed practice is one of the best ways to build confidence on a big touring motorcycle. In this video, I take my 2022 Honda Gold Wing DCT into the parking lot to practice tight turns, U-turns, controlled stops, and other low-speed maneuvers.
The Gold Wing is a large and heavy motorcycle, but with smooth throttle control, light rear-brake pressure, proper head positioning, and plenty of repetition, it becomes surprisingly manageable at parking-lot speeds. I’m still learning, improving, and getting more comfortable with the bike every time I practice.
Come along for the session, see what works, and learn from my mistakes as I continue developing my riding skills.
Please like the video, leave a comment with your slow-speed riding tips, and subscribe to *Big VT Travels* for more Gold Wing and XMAX rides, motorcycle practice, road trips, and travel adventures.
Ride safe and keep practicing!
