MOTHER HAD A NAME BEFORE GOD | Raven Lake™ Original

MOTHER HAD A NAME BEFORE GOD | Raven Lake™ Original Some women inherit recipes. Some inherit prayers. Some inherit the old ways. Three generations. One church pew. Two pennies. And a lake old enough to remember what everyone else forgot. Mother Had a Name Before God is an original song from the world of Raven Lake™ a Southern Gothic story about faith, ancestry, feminine power, old Appalachian ways, and the strange places where belief and magic were never as separate as people pretended they were. Granny still goes to church on Sunday. She still knows every hymn. She still bows her head when the preacher prays. But she also remembers what the women before her taught her: Some prayers are spoken. Some are carried. Some are given to the water. And when Serephina and Aurayah begin asking questions about Raven Lake, Granny makes one thing very clear… Faith doesn’t always end at the church door. “I still go to church on Sunday… but when old water calls my name… I answer that too.” Welcome back to Raven Lake™. 🐦‍⬛🌊 An original Southern Gothic music and storytelling universe where outlaw women, old family secrets, Appalachian folklore, love, faith, fire, water, and things better left buried all meet at the shoreline.
