He was crippled in both feet. He was the grandson of a king. And as far as the Bible tells us, no one was looking for him. No one, except a king. Why would King David go looking for a crippled man that nobody else was looking for? The answer is written in just a few verses, in the life of a man named Mephibosheth. In this study we walk through his story only as the Bible tells it, in three scenes: the fall, the search, and the table. We look at 2 Samuel 4:4, 2 Samuel 9, 2 Samuel 19 and 2 Samuel 21:7, and at the Hebrew words hesed (steadfast love, kindness) and tamid (always). Then we see how this same kindness reaches us in Romans, Luke, Ephesians and Revelation, and what it means for your life today. Scripture quoted from the ESV.
