In this video I cut 8 rocks from local Oregon rivers. 2 from the Wilson river, 3 from the Willamette River, and 3 from the Columbia River. They probably aren't rocks that most lapidary folks would pick up and bring home. I started my journey because I wanted to be able to cut open rocks to see what was inside. Just out of curiosity. I have no lapidary background prior to YouTube. I'm just a nerd and a rockhound. Now I do like to cut and polish specimens and make the occasional cabochon- but I still cut rocks just to try and find out what they've got going on! That's what we're doing today. Let me know if you like this video and want to see more like this. Do you know what any of them are? Also what is your favorite? Thank you for watching, please subscribe! I can’t wait to cut the next rock! I cut my rockhound finds on my Highland Park lapidary 10 inch trim saw. Showing the scenery, animals and plants when possible too. I polish with an 8 inch all u need flat lap from Hi Tech Diamond. Hi tech diamond gave me a discount code to be used on hitechdiamond.com it is BETTY. Also, this is my affiliate link: https://hitechdiamond.com/?aff=288 FYI this link will not automatically apply the discount code at checkout, you have to type in the promo code. This discount excludes machines, repairs and gift cards. I also love and use a vibra lap by Covington Engineering for larger rocks with flat faces. #agate #rockhound #Oregon #lapidary #art
