Launching of the DSWD Walang Gutom Kitchen In Cebu

Cebu City June 22, 2026 Reaffirming the Administration’s commitment to ensuring that no Filipino goes hungry, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the launch of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Walang Gutom Kitchen in Cebu City on June 22, 2026. The President observes the facility’s operations and the distribution of meals to beneficiaries in need. The Cebu City Walang Gutom Kitchen is the country’s second such facility, following the Pasay City facility, which has served vulnerable communities since its December 2024 launch. The Walang Gutom Kitchen is a comprehensive community service hub that addresses the needs of homeless individuals and those experiencing involuntary hunger. It provides free, nutritious breakfast and lunch daily to identified beneficiaries and walk-in clients.
