   • A Deadly Encounter in the Wild: Guyana's G...   Deep in the Transylvanian forests, an ancient Bear Cult has survived. Here, Europe’s greatest land predator is a symbol of rebirth in the New Year. Modern Romania has not lost its fascination with bears. It peaked under Ceausescu, in a breeding programme designed to satisfy the dictator’s hunting obsession. His regime is now history, but the bears are still there; and with ever-increasing numbers, conflict is unavoidable. Romania has more bears than any other European country: over 6,000! We follow a female bear and her three cubs as they move from the mountains to become “problem bears” in the town. Three Romanians show, in their different ways, the country’s ambivalent attitude to bears. Follow shepherd Petre Clem, activist Laura Niculescu and the ranger Bogdan Sulica. They all have their own solutions to the same problem. -- Welcome to the official Get.factual youtube channel! 🌍 We are a documentary streaming channel covering history, science, technology, and nature.
