Ex. Transperth UQB543 - Renault PR100.2 (Voith KICKDOWN)

Yes thats right.. Kickdown on a 3sp Voith! A longer video showcasing just how quick a renault rigid can be... While undergoing maintenance the accelerator linkage had been adjusted which opened the throttle right up and also allowed the kickdown switch to become active when pedal was fully depressed. This made for a short temporary bit of fun to push the bus to its limits and see what it could ddo when driven on kickdown. Amazing to hear the extra boost pressure running through the turbo. The unfortunate effecct of the higher idle and adjusted accelerator meant that the gearbox retarder would not operate. While the setup was fun for the day this will be ammended to a more appropriate tune to allow the retarder to activate on decelaration.
