Session 4 - What Kind of a Dream Was That? (Hearing God through Dreams Series, Book 2, Part 2)

Not every dream is saying the same thing. Once we have learned to discern whether a dream is from God, the next question is crucial: What kind of dream is it—and what is God doing through it? In Session 4 of the Live Dream Workshop, we continue through Book Two: What Kind of Dream Was That? and explore the different kinds of divine dreams and the biblical language through which God communicates in pictures, symbols and stories. In this session, we explore: 🔹 Instructional & Directional Dreams — the difference between a dream that changes your understanding and one that gives you a specific next step. Solomon and Joseph provide powerful biblical examples. 🔹 Warning & Revelatory Dreams — how to distinguish a dream that alerts you to danger from one that unveils a reality you could not otherwise know. 🔹 Prophetic Dreams — understanding the narrower prophetic dimension of dreams and how they communicate God's purposes. 🔹 The Picture Language of Scripture — why biblical symbols cannot simply be reduced to fixed dictionary meanings. 🔹 Symbols in Narrative — learning to read the story surrounding the symbol. A lion can represent Judah, a kingdom, the enemy—or Christ, depending on the biblical context. The meaning comes from the story, not merely the image.
