ফ্যালেনপ্সিস অর্কিডের পরিচর্যা How to grow Phalaenopsis orchid: a simple growing guide Greetings everyone! In this video, I'm going to talk about the basic growing guide of the Phalaenopsis orchid. They require minimum care and maintenance. Media: Since they are epiphytes, you'll need to grow them in well-drained media. Sphagnum moss, Lecca clay balls, Pine bark, Coco-chip, and Charcoal all these media are suitable for growing this plant. Light: They prefer indirect bright light but also they thrive in low light conditions which will restrict their flowering. Direct morning sun for two-three hours and bright indirect light for the rest of the day would be perfect. Watering: it depends totally on the media. If you're using Sphagnum moss then twice a week watering would be perfect. For the rest of the media thrice a week watering is recommended. Also, care should be taken when they are growing in coco-chip since coco-chip holds a generous amount of moisture. Fertilizer: NPK 19 19 19 or NPK 20 20 20 once a week is ideal and micronutrients once every 15 days is recommended. Do not fertilize during their dormancy season which is winter months mainly.
