Physical games didn’t disappear overnight. They were slowly stripped down over 20 years, and downloading was convenient enough that most of us barely noticed. This video looks at how we went from midnight launches and trade-ins to used-game restrictions, digital licenses, empty boxes, and a future where owning a game might not mean much at all.
