We begin the morning at the mudpond, joining the harvest and selecting koi from the fish coming out. With Sakai and Dainichi koi among them, there is plenty to look at as we get the opportunity to inspect the fish up close and make our choices. Our day also takes us to NND Koi Farm, where we meet Makoto San and continue exploring beautiful koi. We take you along for the visit and share a closer look at the fish that catch our attention. At Koshiji Koi Farm, we select another beautiful group of koi. Comparing the individual fish and putting together a selection is one of the most enjoyable parts of these trips — and today gives us plenty to enjoy! For us, the excitement of koi hunting is discovering a fish that makes you stop and look again.
