Every year I set out on a solo walkabout somewhere in Sweden. In 2024, I hiked a section of Skåneleden, walking from Åstorp all the way home to Höör. Skåneleden is one of Sweden’s scenic long-distance hiking trails, stretching through forests, open farmland, rolling hills, and peaceful countryside in the southern region of Skåne. This solo hike on Skåneleden offered a true taste of a Swedish summer. I experienced sunshine, strong winds, and steady rain — sometimes all in the same day.
