Will installing this three-layer sound deadening material from NVM help us communicate more easily while doing 75 MPH in this 2000 Suburban? Learn why I chose to tackle this project, why this material, how I did it, and what the costs and results were. * I am not affiliated with NVM, nor was I provided any free product or compensation from them for making this content.* Material: NVX SDRF20 3 Layer Sound Damping Material (Sound Deadening) Closed Cell Black Foam, Aluminum Foil, and Butyl Rubber https://amzn.to/3G9RMU2 Areas treated: Rear cargo area floors and walls Inside of rear wheel wells Inside rear hatch Inside all doors (on the back of the door panel and inside the door itself) Middle and front floors, under seats up to the kick board. Total Material Used: 140 Square Ft. Cost: ~$500.00 Completion time: 5 Months, but I did several "while I'm at it" projects that I will cover in other videos, I am subject to bad weather, and we also had some significant personal life events that slowed me down.
