Fife Coastal Path Day 1 Hike with Ace and Alan Along The Fife Coastal Path in Scotland Aug 7, 2026

Follow us as we complete a nine-day walk on the Fife Coastal Path in Scotland. As Slackpackers, we hired Contours to plan our route, secure our accommodations, and transfer our baggage. In addition, they transferred us to and from accommodations they deemed far enough off the path to warrant a ride. On this, our first of nine videos, we walk from the starting arch in Kincardine. The Contours-planned route was from Kincardine to Charlestown (pronounced Charleston) where we would be picked up and driven to our off-path accommodation, The Hill Park Hotel, in Rosyth. We guessed that we would finish around five O'Clock but that turned out to be wrong: We got there around 3pm. We had a pint and some friendly conversation at the Inn but were itching to cut off a mile or so from our day 2, so we found our way down to the next town, Limekilns. Our transfer driver was nice enough to bring us there to start in the morning. If we were planning this route, knowing what we now know, we would suggest ending in Rosyth on Day 1.
