1920s GE AOU 16" Oscillating Fan

Hey Everyone! Here's a rather special fan that belongs to my Aunt. This a 16" GE AOU Oscillating Fan (Also known as the Loop-Handle). This one was gifted to her from a deceased client's family. She used to take care of dogs, and well, this was in one of her deceased clients bedroom. I actually saw it when I was with her there. I got pretty excited as this was before I had any GE fan for that matter in my collection. At the time, her client was in hospital, so I asked him about the fan before he passed on. He said this was originally his fathers fan, and when he went to boarding school, he took the fan with him. Since then, he's basically had it. Now as you can probably tell, its not in an "original" condition. He has added a replacement lead and repainted the guard. Aerodynamically, this fan is not sound. I believe the blades may need pitching in order for it to actually blow air. Aside from that, the fan is in pretty good working order and shape!
