Turning Blue Awareness Training - DAY 1: Marine ecology

This video is part of the Turning Blue Project, an EU-funded initiative that builds bridges between the maritime industry, civil society, and justice professionals to create career opportunities for vulnerable youth in the Blue Economy. The total of 8 videos cover: Intro to Sustainability Marine Ecology The Blue Economy and Society Fisheries Management Training of Trainers Awareness Training I Awareness Training II Action Plan & Evaluation 📍 The awareness training was held in Constanța, Romania, on May 28–29, 2025, hosted at Constanța Maritime University, with a study visit to CERONAV (Romanian Maritime Training Centre). 👥 Who participated? Trainers and professionals from the maritime industry. Experts from justice and probation services working directly with vulnerable youth. Civil society organizations (CSOs) supporting inclusion and reintegration pathways. Representatives from partner organisations in Romania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, and Cyprus. 🎯 Who is the training for? These recordings can be used by trainers, CSOs, justice professionals, and maritime employers as learning resources to raise awareness among youth about sustainability, fisheries, and the Blue Economy; to prepare trainers and staff to work with vulnerable youth; to support reintegration and career guidance in probation and social services; and to showcase inclusive employment opportunities in the maritime sector.
