I opened my fridge and had almost nothing left. So I took my IKEA bag and went to Walmart — 6 km from my apartment, on the 3rd floor of a mall in Beijing. 12 items. 126 yuan. $17.50. Enough for a week. Fresh lettuce for 7 yuan, mooncakes with pork and crayfish flavor, a wall of chips, and a lot of things I didn't plan to buy. Then I came home and cooked three dishes: cola chicken wings (my mom used to make them for me), steamed pork & mushroom shumai, and lettuce with oyster sauce. My parents used to worry I couldn't take care of myself. Now I cook for myself, and try to make my life a little happier. Do you have Walmart in your country? Where are you watching from? Tell me in comments — I read everything. 🛒 What I bought for $17.50 (12 items) 🍗 Cola chicken wings + 🥟 Shumai + 🥬 Lettuce with oyster sauce Chapters: 0:25 Empty fridge 2:12 Walmart in China 2:47 Bakery in Walmart 3:35 Tried some Mooncake 4:24 Meat section 6:24 Chinese chips flavors 7:43 Dried meat snacks 9:30 Instant noodles 12:00 Items for home/kitchen 14:02 Finished shopping 15:15 What I bought? 16:35 Cooking 23:22 Eating!
