The Elemental Lawyer: Freedom Quest - The Art of Influence

In this session, attorneys will learn that influence is not a personality trait — it is a state. They will discover how to deliberately access the exact internal state required for the moment in front of them, whether in the courtroom, at home, or in their relationship with themselves. The state needed to cross-examine a hostile witness is not the state needed to be present with a child at the dinner table — and certainly not the state needed to make a sustainable choice about one's own health. Most attorneys carry the state of the courtroom into their living rooms, and the state of their depletion into their decisions about wellness. Learning to consciously choose state is the master skill of high performance and a primary lever for protecting relationships, ethics, and long-term wellbeing.
