I moor up along a remote stretch of the canal to welcome the new year in on my own. I enjoy the beautiful winter wonderland that surround's me. As always, there are jobs to be done too. A bit of gardening and cleaning the boat and putting up a bird feeder to help the birds get through the cold winter months. I'm low on water for washing, showering due to my home being frozen in on the canal, so I just take the dirty water from the canal, and using my filtration system the water is nice and clean to use. My old Kayak is replaced with a brand new one, and tested out on the water for the first time. There's been many storms in the last months and I go and take a look at the devastation its caused in the woodland next to my floating home.
