Witness the Conferment of the Guinness World Record for the “Longest Road Built with Processed Steel Slag Aggregates,” jointly pursued by CSIR–Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI) and Jindal Steel Limited. The ceremony features the virtual inauguration of the World’s Longest Steel Slag Road at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, by Hon’ble Minister of Science & Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh Ji, in the presence of Shri Naveen Jindal, Chairman, Jindal Steel & Hon’ble Member of Parliament, along with distinguished dignitaries, scientists, senior government officials and industry leaders. The programme also brings together the leadership of India’s scientific and industrial ecosystem, including Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Secretary, DSIR & Director General, CSIR, and the leadership and teams of CSIR-CRRI and Jindal Steel. This pioneering project demonstrates how processed steel slag, an industrial by-product, can be transformed into high-quality, durable and sustainable road infrastructure, advancing India’s vision of a circular economy and sustainable development.
