Walrus Audio Fable MKII – Overview & Sound Demos

The new Walrus Audio Fable MKII is a stereo granular soundscape generator that takes guitar delay into some beautifully weird territory. But what does it actually sound like, and where might these unusual effects fit into real music? Released October 13, 2026, the Fable MKII combines delay with granular processing to create reverse effects, octave-up and octave-down textures, evolving soundscapes, and unpredictable pitch shifts. I picked up the black Fable MKII on release day, and in this video I'm exploring all five modes, experimenting with the controls, and listening for sounds that might work in my own playing. We'll also explore stereo width, modulation, Shift and Ramp, and the possibilities of using these sounds for ambient guitar, swells, transitions, and textures in a full band or worship setting. If you're researching the new Walrus Audio Fable MKII, looking for sound demonstrations, or considering an ambient guitar pedal for your rig this holiday shopping season, I hope this gives you a useful look at what the pedal can do. I purchased the Fable MKII myself. This video is not sponsored.
