Composer Roman Grygoriv (b. 1984) received the Russian MRLS BM-27 Uragan rocket frame from a military volunteer whose apartment in Irpin had been destroyed with the same type of munition. “Everything burned, not even the cast-iron frame of his piano remained,” says Grygoriv. “I’m often asked whether I strung the rocket or altered it in any way, but I did not [...] I hold this rocket, I touch this genocide with my hands, then I transform it.”
