On a heavy bike, the shaky second of a slow U-turn is the one you spend waiting for a lean. Here is how we take that second away, piece by piece:
• The slow crawl in first gear, held between engine and rear brake
• A half-second press on the grip, so the bike leans when asked
• A low, quiet right wrist for the harder right-hand turn
• The wide teardrop drill, then full lock in three gentle steps
• Open hands, and the science behind bars that swing by themselves

This week, once your wide teardrops feel calm, roll straight across an empty lot at walking pace, give the left grip a one-inch push and soften your fingers, five times on each side, and tell me in the comments whether the bars swung over BY THEMSELVES or only when your hands PULLED them.
