Our Shanghai Disneyland Adventure! 🏰🇨🇳 | We Survived TRON!

Day 5 of our China adventure was extra special because it was Enzo's birthday! 🎂❤️ And what better way to celebrate than spending the day at Shanghai Disneyland! 🏰🇨🇳 We started the morning with breakfast at our hotel. Travel tip: we got the hotel breakfast at a much cheaper rate by adding it directly upon check-in. The price we saw online was significantly higher, so it was a nice little birthday saving! 😄 After breakfast, we got ready for an awesome day ahead and booked a DiDi to Shanghai Disneyland. We had a little adventure when our driver started speaking to us in Chinese as soon as we got in the car, and we couldn't understand each other. 😂 Thankfully, Google Translate came to the rescue! When we arrived, one of the first things that amazed us was just how MASSIVE Shanghai Disneyland is! There was so much to see and do that we quickly realized one day wasn't nearly enough to experience all the rides and attractions. We explored as much of the park as we could and tried a few rides that we weren't able to film. But then came the ultimate highlight of the day... TRON Lightcycle Power Run! 😱🏍️ Neither of us is big on extreme rides, and this was our first time taking on a ride this intense. We were nervous and honestly scared, but we decided to face our fear and just GO FOR IT! And we survived!!! 😂🙌 The launch, speed, unique Lightcycle riding position, and adrenaline were unlike anything we'd experienced before. Going from being genuinely afraid to actually conquering TRON together made this such a core memory for us. Looking back, it feels fitting that it happened on Enzo's birthday. ❤️ Sometimes the best way to celebrate another year of life is to do something that scares you, step outside your comfort zone, and realize you're capable of more than you thought. Another highlight was the Disney parade, with colorful floats, energetic performers, Disney characters, and princesses bringing the park to life. The music, costumes, and atmosphere made us feel like kids again! 🥰🏰 And just when we thought the day couldn't get any better, Shanghai Disneyland gave us the perfect birthday finale... Fireworks over the castle! 🎆✨ The music, projections, lights, and spectacular fireworks were absolutely amazing. Standing there together and taking it all in was the perfect way to cap off an unforgettable birthday. One day definitely wasn't enough to experience everything Shanghai Disneyland has to offer, but we're so grateful that we got a taste of its magic, especially getting to experience the famous TRON Lightcycle Power Run and ending the night with those incredible fireworks. More than the rides or attractions, though, what made the day truly special was getting to experience it together as a couple.
