TONEFALD is a sonic performance for tone generators and musical saw. For years, the two artists Sandra Boss and Jonas Olesen have collected old tone generators. They were used as some of the first instruments to create electronic music. In their performance TONEFALD, Olesen og Boss explore the full sonic potential of the basic sound curves that these machines produce, and let them unfold in surprising directions, amongst other in the meeting with the vibrato-song of musical saw. Sandra Boss and Jonas Olesen work as sound artists and composers. The practice of Sandra Boss is distinctly explorative with a strong interest in the hidden sonic potentials of both classical instruments, objects and technologies. Jonas Olesen stand behind the record company BIN, which primarily publishes historical electronic music. As an electronic musician, he has for years explored the musty sounds of extinct media and electronics.
