Part 5-Update on 5 of the Belgian Draft Horses rescued from shipping to slaughter in September 2024

Episode 115 Part 5 - Since the beginning of August 2024, because of your support, we have rescued 62 equines from shipping to slaughter from either Bowie Texas Livestock or Wish Upon A Horse in McLean, Texas. 47 - Belgian Draft Horses, 7 - Percherons and 8 - Donkeys have been rescued! This is an update video on the fourth group of horses rescued at the beginning of September 2024 from Bowie Texas Livestock - Bo, Luke, Piper, Olivia and Petunia. Bo and Luke were a bonded pair because they were a previous driving team and the other mares were part of a large group of Belgian Draft horses that came from an Amish farm. This is a story of their rescue from the livestock yard, arriving at their forever retirement farm, vet appointments and how they are doing now. We have a fundraiser going for all the medical bills for the 62 equines we have rescued since the beginning of September. We could definitely use your support with this fundraiser. Our special needs horses also eat Alfa-Pro which is a complete pelleted alfalfa mixed with vitamins and minerals. Alfa-Pro is $17.45 per bag.
