P&O Britannia cruise to the Mediterranean August-2025. Gibraltar.

Our last port, the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. Another early excursion; Fortress Gibraltar. Travelling in small minibuses, rather than coaches & we soon understood why. Visited a very foggy Europa point. Travelling upwards in & on The Rock, the famous apes were not hard to spot. Clearly our driver was familiar, as they were quite content in his presence & even let him stroke them. Further up & along the busy, narrow roads (hence no coaches) we spent a good amount of time in the World War II tunnels. For those interested in military history, this is a must-see. Returning back for an early departure, views back into the Med & along the coast of North Africa were stunning. Cheesy, but I do like my “two continents” shot. Gibraltar was a very interesting place; would love to visit again & spend time just wandering around. Homewards, back to Southampton!
