You will need to remove the upper intake in order to get to the spark plugs and the ignition coil. Once you remove the upper intake make sure that you cover the lower intake, this way you will avoid dropping a tool or something which could result in damaged engine. Spark plugs should be replaced every 60-90k miles depending on the brand.
