From a recently discovered recording of Opening Night of the George Ogilvie production of Giuseppe Verdi's opera OTELLO featuring the Italian tenor, Angelo Marenzi, and Australian soprano, Joan Sutherland, here is the Act One duet between Otello and Desdemona - "Già nella notte densa s'estingue ogni clamor". This performance in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House from January 28th, 1981, is conducted by Carlo Felice Cillario.
