The collective is dedicated to exploring the deeper side of the techno spectrum, with a focus on deep minimalism, ambient-filled melancholia, and raw-edged, hypnotic forms of musical meditation. 'esc.' started in 2020 during the pandemic as a podcast series curated by Tim, offering monthly showcases of the latest techno sounds in collaboration with various local artists. Since 2024, 'esc.' has also been hosting events, further immersing audiences in their deep techno explorations. Become an escapist and escape from reality. Formwandler: Formwandler is a producer and dj from Ghent [BE], and co-founder of the techno movement esc. Making music for over a decade under different aliases, Formwandler is channelling futuristic and hypnotic elements into his vision of techno. His sound induces a profound state of sonic meditation, characterised by raw, organic syncopated rhythms, hypnotic and futuristic tones, and enveloping dark atmospheres. These elements are consistently reflected in both his productions and DJ sets.
