Welcome back to Part 2 of our little Mechuka trip!!!🤍 Next, we went to see the naturally carved face of Lord Hanuman on the rock and took some pictures before heading to the Gurudwara. I didn’t go inside to pay my respects because I misunderstood the instructions about removing our socks (I was wearing stockings). Turns out, stockings were allowed, but by the time I realised that, my friends were already back. We had actually planned to visit Salman Point, return to the resort to change, and then go cycling that day. So, I was dressed for that, but well… plans changed! After that, we stopped at Lucky Stone Point, and guess what? We ran into our old school friends, Kiti and Engthila, after 10 whole years! Ahhhh, it felt so good to see them again. And just when I was feeling lucky and happy about running into our old friends, I picked the BLACK STONE. Apparently, they say it means you have a black heart, and one of my friends even Googled it and found out that it supposedly represents bad luck and negativity. Huhuhu, I was doomed from that moment onwards. We then headed towards Salman Point, but since the bridge was broken, we had to take a longer route and kept getting lost along the way. And to make things worse, Salman Point was closed because of a puja. So, we decided to head back and get some food, only to find that almost every restaurant was closed too. LIKE??? Was my black stone actually working? And if that wasn’t enough, there was no electricity the whole night until morning, so all our phones eventually died. The next day, we had planned to go hiking. It was an eight-hour round trip, and apparently, there were three beautiful lakes waiting for us up there! But we needed a pass, and the office was closed on Sunday, followed by another puja holiday. I MEANNN, HOW UNLUCKY CAN WE GET? HAHAHA. So, we decided to visit Salman Point the next since we couldn’t make it the previous day. By then, only one friend’s phone was still alive, so we used it to take pictures and then headed straight back to the car to charge it. LOL But the rest of the day turned out pretty great! We filmed reels together, and since we had no network, we couldn’t even check the lyrics, music, or next steps. Watching us try to remember everything was so funny. Hahaha! And the views? BREATHTAKINGGG! It reminded me of the scenery we used to draw as kids, with mountains, a little river flowing through them, and green hills all around. Except this time, it wasn’t just a drawing; we were actually there, surrounded by all that beauty! The camera couldn’t capture how beautiful everything was. There were so many little streams flowing alongside the road, and I kept imagining how lovely it would be to have a little picnic beside one of them, surrounded by all that red grass. But of course, by the time we reached that spot, all our phones were dead again. And that was our little Mechuka adventure! Despite all the failed plans, dead phones, and my questionable luck, we still came away with lots of laughter and memories we’ll be talking about for years. But that BLACK STONE??? I’m still not over it. 😭😂🤍 Thankyou for being here💌!!!
