On December 8th at 11 a.m. was the nationwide alarm day here in Germany. Various alarm devices were tested for this purpose. In addition to the usual ones, such as sirens, the Cell Broadcast Alarm, which is sent to the smartphone, was also tested for the first time. Here in Harpstedt in the district of Oldenburg (Lower Saxony), both the cell broadcast (10:59 a.m.) and the siren alarm (11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.) worked without any problems. Apparently there were only problems with the warning app NINA. There were server problems for the test alarm at 11 a.m. However, the all-clear at 11:45 a.m. worked.
