Liszt - Liebestraum No. 3 | Piano Visualizer (Sheet Music)

Liebestraum No. 3 (Love Dream, S. 541) – Franz Liszt (1850) Before it became one of the most loved piano pieces ever written, Liebestraum No. 3 was a song. Liszt first set Ferdinand Freiligrath's poem "O lieb, so lang du lieben kannst" – "Love as long as you can" – for voice and piano, then turned it into this nocturne, published in 1850. The poem warns that the hour will come when you stand grieving at a grave, so love while you still can. Two sweeping cadenzas break up the melody, and it returns each time more passionate than before. Liszt was born on October 22, 1811 – happy 215th birthday.
