🚐 WE FINALLY MADE THE DECISION — WE’RE HITTING THE ROAD AGAIN! But what goes wrong? #travel #adventure #explore After months of uncertainty, we've decided to continue our caravan adventure and slowly make our way back across Australia towards **Perth**. 🇦🇺 For now, we're back in Queensland, living in our caravan in a friend's backyard while the boys start school and we prepare to get back on the road. We thought we finally had a plan… Then *COVID lockdown hit.* 😳 Suddenly we couldn't continue our road trip, we couldn't head home to Perth and staying indefinitely in our friend's backyard wasn't exactly an option. *We were stuck.* Thankfully, we found a temporary home — a beautiful *100+ year-old Queenslander* in a small Sunshine Coast town. 👻🏡 Maybe not quite the adventure we'd planned, but definitely an experience we'll never forget! Before, during and after lockdown, we still managed to squeeze in some adventures: ⛰️ Wild Horse Mountain Lookout & the Glass House Mountains 🚙 4WDing into Booloumba Creek 💦 Swimming in the creek 🏡 Moving into a historic Queenslander 🦇 Exploring an abandoned railway tunnel full of bats 📚 Lockdown homeschooling 🧪 Science experiments 🌾 Making Joe the Scarecrow 🐸 Discovering our resident cane toads 🏖️ Finally escaping to Golden Beach 🦀 Finding tiny crabs at low tide 🕷️ Meeting one VERY big spider 🌳 Exploring Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve ⛰️ More incredible Glass House Mountains views 🏫 The boys FINALLY returning to school 🍔 Our first dinner out after lockdown 🇦🇺 Visiting the quirky Banana Bender Pub It certainly wasn't the start we imagined for the next chapter of our caravan journey. But plans change — and sometimes those unexpected detours become part of the adventure. Now restrictions are easing, we're ready to start exploring again!
