Tungnath is known as the world’s highest Shiva temple, but this journey is about much more than reaching a temple. In this film, I travel through one of Uttarakhand’s most beautiful yet challenging treks to understand what keeps drawing people to these mountains year after year. Along the way, I discover the story of Panch Kedar, the legend of the Pandavas and Lord Shiva, meet the temple priest, and continue beyond Tungnath to Chandrashila, where mythology, history, and the Himalayas come together. Sometimes, a journey changes the destination. And sometimes… It changes the traveler. If you enjoy slow travel, storytelling, documentaries, and the Himalayas, I hope you’ll enjoy this film. Locations Featured: 📍 Tungnath Temple 📍 Chandrashila Summit 📍 Chopta, Uttarakhand, India ⸻ If you enjoyed this film, consider subscribing for more cinematic travel documentaries from across India. Every journey has a story. And I’m here to find it. ⸻ Chapters 00:00 — Introduction 00:47 — The Journey Begins 01:25 — Ganesh Temple 01:39 — The Mountain That Looks Like Shiva 02:47 — Reaching Tungnath 03:30 — A Question to the Temple Priest 03:49 — The Story Begins After Mahabharata 04:28 — Why Did Lord Shiva Hide? 05:25 — Panch Kedar 06:01 — Who Built Tungnath? 06:28 — More Than Just a Temple 06:47 — Journey to Chandrashila 08:40 — Ending ⸻ Hashtags #Tungnath #Chandrashila #PanchKedar #Shiva #Mahadev #Uttarakhand #Chopta #Himalayas #TravelDocumentary #TravelFilm #IndianHimalayas #Storytelling #AkshayChauhan #TravelFilmmaker
