Maria Canyigueral - Chopin - Ballade n.4 in F minor, Op.52

Maria Canyigueral performed Chopin’s Ballade No. 4 in F minor, Op. 52 at the Palau de la Música Catalana on August 27, 2024, as part of the "Estiu al Palau" series. This recital featured a thoughtfully curated program that juxtaposed Preludes and Fugues by Bach and Shostakovich, followed by the Chaconne by Gubaidulina and Sonatine pour Yvette by Montsalvatge, in addition to Chopin's Fourth Ballade. A tribute to Bach's music and the influence of counterpoint throughout the history of Western Classical Music.
