MARIACHI PSYCH FUNK — Hot Brass, Deep Bass & Questionable Decisions

The mariachi band has entered the nightclub. This may have been a mistake. A very funky mistake. Mariachi Psych Funk pushes traditional Mexican instrumentation into deep basslines, dry drums, wah guitars, Farfisa organs, psychedelic breaks and smoky 1970s crime-funk. Trumpets become riffs. Vihuelas become rhythm machines. Guitarrón starts behaving suspiciously like it owns the place. The music belongs to imaginary casinos, crowded dance floors, neon restaurants and low-budget crime films with extremely expensive wardrobes. Energetic, colourful and unapologetically groovy, but always anchored in the cinematic world of Mariachi Mutations. Put it on in the background. Remaining seated is entirely optional. #MariachiFunk #PsychFunk #MariachiMutations
