Making Training Magic: It's All in the Details

In this episode of Learning & Development in Real Life, I sit down with ‪@PeteBlank‬ to explore what it actually takes to make training magic happen. Pete shares how he took his extensive background at Disney and applied those lessons to the unique world of local government to drive real organizational impact. He breaks down why effective training requires a deep understanding of an organization’s day-to-day operations and how to customize your approach for diverse audiences without losing sight of your core objectives. We also dive into the art of designing for adult learners, highlighting how to honor and leverage the unique, lived experiences that participants bring into the room. At the heart of this conversation is a powerful truth for both participants and facilitators: training magic only happens when we accept that learning is never a one-size-fits-all approach. #learninganddevelopment #trainingdesign #adultlearning
