Belleau, présente un nouveau corpus d’œuvres examinant les points d’origines de notre langage contemporain en relation avec l’univers de la production des images. Réalisée suite à son passage en Ateliers montréalais à la Fonderie Darling, cette exposition marque la fin d’un cycle de travail pour l’artiste, et cherche à provoquer une expérience cinématographique et installative qui questionne la valeur réelle des choses lorsqu’elles sont re-produites ou imitées à une ère où « l’origine » est de moins en moins localisable. Le titre fait d’ailleurs référence à la polysémie du mot réplique, qui désigne à la fois une copie de quelque et les dialogues échangés sur scène ou à l’écran. — SIMON S. Belleau presents a new body of work examining the points of origin of our contemporary language in relation to the world of image production. Produced following the artist's stay at Ateliers montréalais at Fonderie Darling, this exhibition marks the end of a cycle of work for the artist, and seeks to provoke a cinematographic and installation experience that questions the real value of things when they are re-produced or imitated in an era when "origin" is less and less locatable.
